APPLICATIONS
Siloxane is a silica-based organic or inorganic polymer with base structure R2SiO in which R is alkyl group. Siloxane polymer exists in a form of oily liquid, grease, rubber, resin, or plastic. Decamethyl tetrasiloxane is a general purpose volatile siloxane fluid having properties of clear; non-toxic; low surface tension and non-greasy as well as high compatibility with the lipophilic; high compressibility; high damping action; high dielectric strength; high water repellency and high stability. Unlike other volatile carriers, volatile silicone fluids do not cool the skin when they evaporate. Applications include personal care products; chemical manufacturing; plastic additives; damping fluid; water repellant; hydraulic fluid; lubricants; heat transfer fluid; mold release agent; break fluids; corrosion inhibition film; polish component;
